Why is the app showing my location as somewhere different from where I actually am?

Your current location is provided by your device’s GPS signal. The strength of this signal affects how accurately your current location is shown.
Being indoors can weaken the strength of the signal, and factors like your surroundings – such as tall buildings – can negatively impact accuracy too.
Tip: It’s sometimes possible to use satellite view to manually find your current location when you don’t have a reliable GPS signal. Here’s how:
Tap the satellite mode button at the button right of your screen.
Move the map until you can find the square for your location. Look for landmarks nearby to help you do this.
Tap the square and the what3words address will appear in the search bar.
