To enter what3words addresses into Google Maps on your desktop, download the Chrome extension or Mozilla FireFox Extension. Once installed, you can enter what3words addresses into the search bar in Google Maps, and Google Chrome. Make sure you always use the three slashes and a dot between each word, for example ///index.home.raft

In Google Maps, you can click anywhere on the map to see the what3words address for that precise location at the bottom of the screen, or click on a POI to see its what3words address displayed in the left hand panel.

Without this extension installed, Google Maps won’t currently recognise a what3words address.
