How do I change the map provider? (Pro feature)
To change your map provider as part of what3words Pro, follow the steps below. Please note that the map options differ between the app and the online map.
In the what3words app
The iOS options are Apple Maps (default) or Google Maps
On Android, options are Mapbox (default) or Google Maps
To change your map provider in the iOS and Android what3words apps:
Tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
Then tap Map settings and choose between Google Maps and Apple Maps.
On the online map
Your default map provider is Mapbox, and you can choose from a range of map providers, including Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, HERE, TomTom and Esri.
To change provider on the online map, follow these steps:
Click the menu icon in the top right corner of your screen
Then click Map type to choose the provider you want
Note: You must be signed in to your what3words Pro account to save these settings.
